Hello everyone! 👋
Welcome to our very first quarterly update!
Going forward, we'll use this to share what we've been building at HYVOR, highlight important updates from each quarter, and give you a sneak peek at what's coming next.
TL;DR (2026 Q2)
Launched Hyvor Post, our privacy-first newsletter platform, which is used to send this very newsletter to you!
Launched Hyvor Relay, an open-source email sending platform. A self-hosted alternative to SES, Mailgun, and SendGrid. Again, this email itself is delivered to you via our Hyvor Relay cloud infrastructure.
Introduced Organizations in HYVOR to easily manage access and billing across our products. We also moved to our own billing system.
Hooks in Hyvor Talk: even more dynamic customizations in the comments embed (ex: to place a banner before a specific comment)
FortGuard, our spam detection API, was moved to the HYVOR product suite, now hosted at fortguard.hyvor.com.
Hyvor Post for Newsletters
We've always wanted to keep our customers updated through newsletters like this one. But after a long search, we couldn't find a platform that truly aligned with our privacy-first values. Most newsletter services rely on link tracking and open tracking by default. While some let you disable these features, they're often still built on infrastructure designed around tracking.
So we built Hyvor Post - a simple, privacy-first newsletter platform with zero tracking. No open tracking. No link tracking. Just a straightforward way to send newsletters while respecting your readers' privacy.

Hyvor Relay, Email API for Developers
Building a privacy-first newsletter platform raised another question: how could we trust the email infrastructure behind it? Instead of relying on a third-party provider with logging and data retention policies that didn't match our values, we built our own.
Hyvor Relay is an open-source, fully self-hostable email API for developers. It's already used by dozens of organizations that self-host it to gain greater control over their data, improve privacy, and reduce costs. View Hyvor Relay on Github.

Organizations in HYVOR
Previously, everything in HYVOR was owned and managed by a single user. We've redesigned this to better support teams.
You can now create one or more organizations, invite other admins and members, and manage projects and billing together from a shared workspace. Whether you're working with colleagues or clients, Organizations make it easier to collaborate while keeping ownership and administration organized.

You can read more about this in our Organizations Announcement.
Hooks in Hyvor Talk
Hyvor Talk already offers extensive options to customize the appearance and behavior of your comments. Now, you can take customization even further with hooks, allowing you to modify the embed dynamically as it runs.
A few things you can build with runtime hooks include:
Custom rendering - Insert your own HTML before or after the comments, such as banners, announcements, or CTAs.
Time formatting - Display dates and times in any format you prefer.
Custom icons - Replace the default icons with your own icon set to better match your brand.
Our Q3 Plans
Here's a look at what we're working on over the next three months:
Open-sourcing Hyvor Blogs - we're finally open-sourcing Hyvor Blogs and making it fully self-hostable. This has been on our roadmap for a long time, and we're excited to make it happen.
FortGuard v2 - We originally built FortGuard to explore how LLMs could improve spam detection in Hyvor Talk. It proved so useful that it became a product of its own. Next, we're expanding it into a complete content moderation API with features like sentiment analysis, richer moderation signals, and much more.
Discontinuing Hyvor Talk Newsletters - With the launch of Hyvor Post, we now have a dedicated, privacy-first platform for email newsletters. As a result, we'll be discontinuing Hyvor Talk Newsletters this quarter so we can focus our efforts on making Hyvor Talk the best commenting platform it can be.
Coming Next: Hyvor Relay Cloud
We're especially excited about the upcoming release of Hyvor Relay Cloud. We're working on building the right infrastructure and processes to make email delivery secure, reliable, and accessible for everyone.
Our goal is to make it easy for developers to send emails through a simple, EU-hosted platform without the complexity of managing their own email infrastructure. We plan to release an initial version next quarter, offering a simple and affordable way to integrate email delivery into your applications.
